This piece is a time-lapse video of a collection Erica has created with 80
photographs she took on November 8th, 2022 of the most recent total lunar eclipse.
I like capturing the beauty of the night sky, a sight not a lot of people see because of their sleep schedule. And I create compositions from the collection of full moons I can photograph each month. From the variety of colours or unique super moons and eclipses, I try to capture them all to create artworks for people to enjoy with my design skills.
. It began as a challenge to figure out what the perfect camera settings are to capture it, but now it has become a monthly tradition and hobby of mine to go capture the colour of the full moon per month. Especially unique moons like this total lunar eclipse that only occurs once every 4-7 years.
This is a collection of 80 photographs I took throughout the 6-hour duration of the eclipse, overlaid as a time-lapse like a quick-paced version of the real event for viewers to enjoy anytime anywhere.

She has found a hobby in photographing the full moon every month to capture the beautiful view and colours that the weather produces. From the cold Calgary winters to wildfire seasons, Erica would be outdoors capturing as much of a range for the moon's colour as she can.
